Hotshot and Courier Service Rates in Edmonton

* Minimum “dock level” charge will be 1 ton rate for applicable orders.

“6-8 feet of deck space required”: Minimum charge will be ¾ ton rate, depending on weight.

“9-12 feet of deck space required”: Minimum charge will be 1 ton rate, depending on weight.

“13-16 feet of deck space required”: Minimum charge will be 2 ton rate, depending on weight.

Waiting time
A waiting time charge may apply when wait time is excessive.

Cubic rate
If a large item being shipped does not have a significant weight the charge will be calculated using cubic rate, this applies to items which have a volume of 12 cubic feet or more. The cubic rate will be calculated as 22 pounds per cubic foot.

Fuel surcharge
Deliveries are subject to fuel surcharge. The current fuel surcharge rate is available at powerexpress.ca

Light haul and hotshot rates

• ½ Ton and ¾ Ton trucks: $115 hourly
• 1 Ton and 2 Ton trucks: $125 hourly
• 20’ – 40’ Trailer: $145 hourly
• Cube van up to 3 ton: $135 hourly
• Power tailgate or enclosed vehicle: $135 hourly
• 53’ Tractor and trailer (deck or van): Call for quote

* Please note that we have changed our hotshot rates to an hourly charge. Our fleet safety department has determined that drivers are more compliant with speed limits when an hourly rate is charged rather than charging per kilometer.
